Questions

Plain answers. If yours isn’t here, ask on the tour.

All our questions
How much is a makerspace membership?

At Hone Limehouse: Hot Maker £125 a month, rolling monthly; Shared Bench £220; Private Bench £405. Every tier includes the induction, the CNC, laser and 3D printers after it, the metalwork room and the electronics bench.

What does the price include?

Everything: your desk or bench, the machines after your induction, the metalwork room, the electronics area, kitchens, coffee, wifi and the outdoor spaces. There are no hidden costs and no joining fee.

How do the contracts work?

Hot Maker is rolling monthly, with one month’s deposit and one month’s notice. Shared and Private Benches run on a three-month minimum with two months’ deposit.

Is the induction included?

Yes. Every membership includes a general induction from someone who uses the machines every day. The large-format CNC needs separate training, charged on top.

What are the hours?

Shared and Private Bench members have 24-hour access to both of our buildings.

Do I need to be a professional?

You need to take the making seriously. Wherever you are on the way to professional, you’re welcome. Hot Maker is built for exactly that.

Where can I keep my things?

Hot Maker is a hot desk with no storage. A Shared Bench comes with one shelf. A Private Bench has proper storage at the bench.

Can I use the woodwork machine shops?

Bench members can, after induction, along with every workshop across our buildings. Hot Maker members use the makerspace, which has its own woodwork bench: hand tools, a chop saw, sanders and a small bandsaw.

Is the makerspace in Bristol too?

No. The makerspace is at Hone Limehouse only. Hone Bristol has woodwork now and jewellery benches coming.

Can I speak to someone?

Email info@honeworkspace.com or WhatsApp 07424 105667. Or book a tour and ask on the way round. Price questions get prices.
