Questions

Plain answers. If yours isn’t here, ask on the tour.

All our questions
How much is a woodwork bench?

A private bench at Hone Limehouse is £877 a month, plus waste and sundries, with both machine shops, the CNC, the finishing rooms and storage. Three-month minimum. Two months’ deposit.

Is there a bench free?

Yes. One bench is available now. Book a tour to see the shop and the bench. Benches rarely come up, and when the next one does the waitlist hears first.

What does the price include?

Everything: your private bench, both machine shops and the CNC after your induction, the finishing rooms, storage for materials and goods, the metalwork room, kitchens, coffee, wifi and the gardens. No joining fee, no hidden costs.

How does the waitlist work?

Benches rarely come up. When one does we tell everybody on the list at the same time, before it goes anywhere else, and the first to reply has it. Leave your name, what you make, and we do the rest.

Do people stay long?

Most members stay for years, and some have been here since we opened in 2018. Studio tenants tend to stay longest, and it’s why woodwork benches rarely come up.

How do the contracts work?

Three-month minimum. Two months’ deposit. Notice periods are set out in the agreement.

What are the hours?

24-hour access to both of our buildings for bench members.

Can I use the CNC?

Yes. The Apollo router is shared with the makerspace and yours after an induction.

Where do I keep timber and finished work?

There’s storage for materials and goods beside the shop, and the finishing rooms keep the last coat away from the dust.

Is there a woodwork shop in Bristol?

Yes, at Hone Bristol in Fishponds, with its own page and its own prices.

Can I speak to someone?

Email info@honeworkspace.com or WhatsApp 07424 105667. Or book a tour and ask on the way round.
